Beauséjour

Grenada

2011

SAY produced a proposal for a resort set on the banks of the Beauséjour River amongst the lush vegetation of cocoa plants on the Caribbean Island of Grenada. It is also in the close vicinity of one of the main tourist attractions - Annandale Waterfall - on the outskirts of St. George, and is easily accessible.

The resort consists of 15 villas arranged in five blocks, all overlooking the river valley and carefully arranged so that no view is restricted. Resort amenities include a restaurant, a sauna and an outdoor 50m Olympic swimming pool. Due to its close proximity to nature, it was essential for the site to be self-sufficient by, for example, generating its own electricity through the use of solar panels.
